Trinslation's Founder and Linguist - Lily Trinh

Lily Trinh - Trinslation DirectorQualified in International Business and Administration with proven background in the management of multi million pounds programmes for big corporates as 3COM, Alcatel, Siemens, BBC, Cisco and many others with extensive experience in project planning and process management skills across various geographical regions and multifunctional groups.

Lily created Trinsl@tion Co in 2002 while working for 3COM to accommodate their increasing worldwide needs of multi lingual document translation across all business arenas from Contract, Finance, HR to Technical Solutions.

An articulate communicator and excelling in many European languages, Lily has an ability to engage with Clients at different hierarchical levels and in many business areas.

Born in Vietnam - Saigon from a Franco Vietnamese mother and a Chinese father, she was educated in France - Lyon; and was brought up between France and the US in California Long Beach. Lily graduated In France with an HND in Foreign Languages (Latin, English, Spanish and German), she came to the UK to study a BA (Hons) in International Business & Administration in 1994 in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

After her graduation in 1996, she undertook a 10 month solo voyage around the world which permitted her to improve her languages skills and learn new cultures and religions and met many people in many countries who to date are still good friends some of which have become loyal customers.

Since her solo voyage, Lily has been mainly residing in the UK but has been travelling the globe with her IT executive role with various big companies: she's worked and lived in Saigon, Lyon, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Munich, Nuremburg, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai, Sydney …

 

Chinese and Malay Specialist - Fion Cheong

Fion Cheong is the founder of GFL solutions. She is a London based translator who has been busy helping local businesses or individuals to translate from Chinese/Malay to English or vice versa. Fion has moved to London since 2007, she has been practicing three languages since she started to learn speaking – Mandarin, English and Malay. She went to school to continue learning to write and speak the three languages.

In year 2003, she obtained BA (Hons) in Sheffield, UK, major in Business Management. She was then travelling between Europe and Malaysia for business conferences for more than 5 years. She has wide experience in business management especially in pharmaceutical and fitness industry.  Her strong business skills and being able to communicate in different languages often help the company winning different projects and gain profits. Besides, she can also speak two different dialects, Cantonese and Hainanese.

 

Fion has only relatively recently got into translation services, but delved-in neck deep. Fion inherited her business skills from her parents, who both are doing their own business in Malaysia. Travelling between Europe and Malaysia turned her into possibility of business as a way of life. “Just being in London, with an open mind, that’s all it took,” She explains. Now 28 years old, Fion consulted for three health clubs to generate membership sales, a baby cot producer to venture from B2B into B2C and e-commerce business, and a few businesses to increase their profit margin. “I have been their business consultant for the past 3 years and have had a big say in their strategies decisions and message delivery to the end user,” says Fion.

 

Japanese Specialist - Aya Nakamura

Aya Nakamura has been speaking both in Japanese and English for last 13 years, educated in Japan, completed Australian school certificates in Singapore, and obtained BA and MA in the UK. Aya Nakamura is a Japanese who has been exposed to many cultures since she had left her native country when she was 15, studied an international school for 4 years under Australian education system in Singapore and gained her BA and MA in UK.

She has written many academic researches on performance and visual theatre so far. Her interested covers more than theatre and arts and particularly interested in writing life in London and she enjoys travelling. Her broad experience in travel and multicultural will be able to deliver your business message to your client effectively.

She is also a Japanese language teacher and also a life coach who conducting workshops to develop ones sense of presence, confidence and focus. There are series of exercises for actors/performers, these skills which you develop through the exercise can apply everyday situation.
